Our customer is one of the world’s leading analytical instrumentation companies, developing high-performance scientific instruments and high-value analytical and diagnostic solutions that enable scientists to explore life and materials at molecular, cellular, and microscopic levels. They have been driving innovation in analytical instrumentation for 60 years and continues to build upon their extensive range of products and solutions.

One of their division sell and service a range of metrology instruments and tools, providing high-value analytical and diagnostic solutions to a variety of industries.

Due to an increase in demand for their service, they are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team in France. As a field-based engineer, you will be required to spend 3-4 days a week travelling to customer sites (both public and private) across France and EMEA territories, with an 80/20 split between domestic & international travel. You will be performing installations, repairs, preventative maintenance of analytical equipment as well as training customers on the operation of equipment.

The successful candidates for this role will possess:

• A relevant science or engineering qualification (materials science, mechanical/electrical engineering)
• Previous experience using or servicing analytical instruments/equipment
• Comfortable with travel (~80% of your time going to customer sites)
• Full clean driving licence
• Excellent communication skills (French & English) and able to provide a high level of customer service

You can be based anywhere in France, preferably in the Paris area and/or near to an international airport.
