Sales Development Manager – Mass Spectrometry (Germany & Switzerland)

Our client is a global leader in analytical instrumentation looking to recruit a Sales Development Manager to lead the commercial development of the Mass Spectrometry business across Germany and Switzerland.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity within one of the world's most recognised analytical science organisations. Germany represents the largest addressable Mass Spectrometry market in Europe and is a key strategic growth priority.

Following a recent organisational transformation, the business is investing in strengthening its commercial leadership to build momentum, increase market share and accelerate growth across key scientific markets.

As Sales Development Manager, you will lead a team of six experienced Mass Spectrometry Specialists. Your role will be to provide clear direction, develop talent, align commercial execution with regional strategy and create a high-performing, collaborative team focused on sustainable growth.

Working closely with regional leadership, country sales teams and marketing, you will define business priorities, identify new opportunities and strengthen relationships with leading pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, government laboratories and industrial customers. You will also play a key role in developing strategic customer relationships, supporting major opportunities and driving the successful introduction of new technologies across the region.

We are looking for professionals who bring:

  • A strong scientific background in analytical chemistry, life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Mass Spectrometry, ideally High-Resolution MS.
  • A successful track record in commercial leadership within analytical instrumentation or laboratory technologies.
  • Experience managing and coaching technical sales and/or application specialists.
  • Strong understanding of the German analytical sciences market across Pharma, Academia, Government, Food and/or Environmental sectors.
  • The ability to translate strategic objectives into clear commercial action plans.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in both German and English.

Candidates coming from leading Mass Spectrometry and analytical instrumentation companies will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
