We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Product Manager to support the continued growth of our client’s Mass Spectrometry product line. This is a strategic role with real impact — you’ll take ownership of the company’s GC-MS portfolio, shaping product direction, driving innovation, and ensuring strong market performance.
Working at the intersection of science and business, you’ll collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to deliver products that meet the evolving needs of laboratories across academia and industry. You’ll also represent the company at industry events with occasional international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Insight
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business goals
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and voice-of-customer activities
- Identify trends, emerging technologies, and customer challenges
- Gather and prioritise product requirements, balancing innovation with practicality
Product Development & Compliance
- Partner with R&D to deliver technically robust, high-performing solutions
- Lead the full product lifecycle from concept through to commercialisation
- Oversee prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and post-launch support
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
Go-to-Market & Collaboration
- Work with sales and marketing to define positioning, pricing, and launch strategies
- Manage product roadmaps and coordinate cross-functional delivery
- Support development of technical documentation and marketing materials
- Enable application development to support customer adoption and education
Performance & Customer Engagement
- Track product performance using KPIs and market feedback
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led decisions
- Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events
- Deliver product training to internal teams
About You
Education
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, or related field
Experience
- Strong background in Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS and/or LC-MS)
- Experience in applications development, validation, or standardisation
- Commercial or customer-facing experience is advantageous
