A leading manufacturer of advanced analytical instruments is creating a new position and looking for an Implementation Manager to oversee global installations of highly sophisticated systems used in research, semiconductors, and materials science.

Role Overview

As the Implementation Manager, you will take full responsibility for the global deployment of large, technically demanding instruments (2T–5T). You will guide each installation from order signature to final acceptance, acting as the central link between customers, factory teams, field engineers, and international service hubs.

Your mission is to deliver a seamless, premium installation experience across cycles that typically span 12 to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead worldwide installations from initial planning to on-site acceptance.
  • Coordinate resources across factory, service, engineering, and regional teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout long project timelines.
  • Conduct or coordinate site readiness assessments and technical audits.
  • Create and manage implementation plans, schedules, and Gantt charts.
  • Support on-site phases ranging from several weeks to a few months.
  • Anticipate challenges, ensure alignment, and drive continuous improvements in processes.

This role blends strategic leadership with practical field exposure and requires a balance of technical understanding and strong customer engagement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Engineering or technical background (mechanical, electrical, physics, materials science, vacuum technology, mass spectrometry, instrumentation).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technical project management, installation, or field service for complex equipment.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across multiple regions.
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent English and cultural adaptability.
  • Ability to travel internationally when needed for site audits and late-stage installations.
  • A structured, proactive, and customer-oriented approach.
