Our client is a global manufacturer of specialist scientific instrumentation, helping laboratories around the world enable advancements in many areas such as pharmaceutical, food, environmental and healthcare.

To ensure the efficiency of their operations, they are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team in Northern Ireland.

As a Field Service Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, installing and repairing Scientific instrumentation onsite, specialising in the company’s Chromatography and Spectroscopy product range (HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/Vis, instrumentation)
• Travelling across Northern Ireland to visit customer sites with occasional travel further afield in the Republic of Ireland
• Diagnosing faults on complex scientific equipment ensuring prompt, flexible and customer focused support
• Managing equipment parts and spare parts
• Ability to schedule your own time and manage customer expectations
• HND in engineering or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience servicing complex scientific instrumentation (Chromatography, Material Characterisation, Mass Spectrometry) from a range of instrument vendors
• Knowledge of GMP
• Full driving license and willingness to travel up to 80% of your time
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
