Maintenance Manager – Amsterdam, Netherlands

Are you an experienced technical leader ready to take on a high-impact role in a complex, process industrial environment? We are recruiting a Maintenance Manager for a long-established production site in Amsterdam — a company with over a century of industrial heritage and a global reputation for technical excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your maintenance expertise will directly influence plant reliability, performance, and long-term sustainability. You’ll manage a team of engineers and technicians in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, leading initiatives to modernize and maintain high-temperature, heavy industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead all maintenance activities across the site to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
·Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
·Plan and execute plant maintenance stops and capital improvement projects
·Oversee contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and safety
·Apply reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and manage performance through data-driven decisions
·Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards (e.g., NEN 1010, NEN 3140)
·Build and coach a high-performing team, fostering technical growth and ownership
What You Bring
·Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical discipline
·5–8 years of experience in industrial maintenance or engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
·Strong understanding of technical installations, maintenance planning, and asset management
·Experience in process or process/heavy industry (e.g., furnaces, high-temp systems, continuous production)
·Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
·Solid knowledge of safety regulations and reliability engineering
