Our client is an international pharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutic solutions to serve patient needs worldwide. With heavy investment in Research & Development activities, they collaborate with many partners from academic labs to start-ups, pharma and biotech companies to tackle health challenges.

One of their many projects involves a technology transfer from the US to Europe and they are currently looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to support the commercial manufacturing of biologics products.

As part of a global group reporting to the CMC Head in Paris, you will be responsible for supporting the activities involved in analytical method transfers and QC release of biologic products at contract manufacturing organisations.

As an expert in your field, you will act as the analytical point of contact to support the manufacturing of biologics bulk drug substance & drug product and daily supervision of analytical activities in CMOs. You will also be responsible for the life cycle management: method development, validation, control strategy, transfer & testing. Travel to some CMOs will be required depending on project stages and tech transfers (few weeks per year, no regular travel is involved).

Other responsibilities will include design & management of stability programs, reviewing deviations and OOS/OOT investigations, write, review and approve various reports to support manufacturing and regulatory filings.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc, MSc and/or PhD in Analytical Chemistry (or closely related field) and relevant experience in the field of biologics, especially with monoclonal antibodies, large proteins, lipids, etc...

Previous experience of managing technical activities between pharma and CRO/CMO would be a strong advantage.

In order to be successful, you will be a confident user of analytical chemistry techniques & instruments (HPLC, electrophoresis, etc) including previous method development experience in GMP regulated environments.

Fluency in English is essential and French would be preferred. You will have strong organisation and communication skills and be a proactive person.
