Our client runs a market-leading group of analytical labs with an international network of over 900 laboratories. There are over 30 sites in the UK and the group provides a high standard of reliable analytical methodologies, supporting multiple industries.

In this position, you will focus on providing dynamic leadership and guidance to the Civil Law Cluster (CLC) sales division. CLC offer analytical services to workplace drug testing and family law cases (DNA, Tox and Alcohol).

This role is based at the company HQ near Birmingham, where your focus is to take full management responsibility for the company’s Civil Law Cluster business unit – providing sales leadership and advising on deal strategies.

Your goal is to fulfill the company’s scientific & technology mission, building shareholder value and providing managerial guidance to the company’s commercial and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A (further) degree in Chemistry/related subject
  • Extensive business experience with the ability to identify new markets
  • Board level insight - preferably in a biotech or related field
  • A track record of identifying innovate routes to market and business partners
  • Negotiation and relationship building expertise
