Exciting opportunity for a graduate chemist or an established analyst with an Engineering/Materials Science background to join a world-leading CRO that provides expert-level fuel and lubricant testing across a broad range of commercial and military sectors.

As an Analyst you will be undertaking a variety of established test methods, mainly using wet chemistry and chromatography techniques to analyse lubricants. Testing will be carried out to determine the properties and performance of lubricants for quality assurance and product development for the company’s clients.

You will interpret your data and provide results for a variety of customers. Other responsibilities will include the maintenance of existing equipment and aiding the potential development and implementation of new methods as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A background in chemistry or engineering/materials science
• Understanding of health and safety, product handling and safety practices
• Good IT literacy skills

Previous experience working with lubricants/fuels, particularly in a quality control capacity is highly desirable.
