About this job

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Service Engineer or instrument user confident in the maintenance and troubleshooting of chromatography systems.

Primarily based on a single site in the Northwest, you will work autonomously to ensure the maintenance, service, calibration and repair of an impressive suite of instruments, reducing instrument downtime across the site. You will also be involved in the installation of new instrumentation and help train end-users, providing the highest level of support to your customers & colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• A HNC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering and/or a BSc in a scientific field
• A full drivers licence
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar field service environment.
• Experience with chromatography instrumentation i.e., HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS systems
• Comfortable with extensive travel across England

For this position, applications are also invited from experienced instrument users looking to move into a Field Service role and develop their instrument understanding down to component level.
