Within the scientific industry, Field Service Engineers are responsible for the maintenance, installation and repair of a range of scientific equipment. They provide excellent customer care in a challenging hands-on position, servicing instruments used in a range of industries.

Our client sells and services a range of metrology tools, providing high-value analytical and diagnostic solutions to a variety of industries.

Due to an increase in demand for their service, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a field-based engineer, you will be required to spend 2-4 days a week travelling to customer sites across the UK and EMEA territories, with a 50/50 split between domestic & international travel. You will be performing installations, repairs, preventative maintenance of analytical equipment as well as training customers on the operation of equipment.

To be suitable for this position, you will have/be:

• A relevant science or engineering qualification
• Previous experience using or servicing analytical instruments or equipment
• Comfortable with travel (between ~80% of your time will be on the road)
• Full clean driving licence
• Excellent communication skills and able to provide a high level of customer service
