Our client is one of the leading producers of dyes and markers for use in the petrochemical industry. These dyes allow companies to identify their products and offer the best protection against fraudulent activities around the world. They are currently searching for a Health and Safety Technician to join their team in their Manchester laboratory.
Reporting directly to the HSE manager, you will be the front line in the implementation of a safety management system as well as various environmental policies. These systems take the form of risk assessments, SOP’s and a number of other documents which will need to be constantly updated and improved as the company expands and develops its products. You will be responsible for ensuring any ‘near misses’ are reported and acted upon, as well as completing through investigations when accidents do occur.
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. You will be based at our clients laboratory in Manchester. As well as your basic salary, our client operates a bonus scheme as well as various company benefits.
Candidates are encouraged to apply who have previous experience in a similar role. Those who have worked in a scientific/chemical environment are at an advantage, as are those who hold a Level 3 NEBOSH or above.
