Our client is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving customers worldwide to provide low carbon electricity through nuclear generation.

They are looking to grow their technology capabilities and business development activities and will do this by providing strategic direction for the client’s assets and R&D activities. The role of the Senior R&D Manager will involve aspects such as Technology ownership, R&D portfolio management, Support & Infrastructures, IP & Financial Management.

Reporting to the Principal R&D Manager, you will manage and develop automation processes and knowledge, in order to ensure safe and economic design and operation of facilities in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will manage specific Automation and Robotics R&D activities and projects and provide ad-hoc support, as the best-skilled expert for this area of competence.

The successful candidate will be an expert in automation processes and have solid experience dealing with suppliers on technical levels.

The following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of individual we are looking for:

Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering with specialism in Manufacturig Technology, Automation, Robotics or Process Technology

Automotive construction, series production and/or robotic industry background with a solid understanding of its safety and regulatory environment

Experience of coordinating teams to deliver R&D projects across international boundaries

Expertise in selecting the right technologies for major projects using robust methodologies

Lean production techniques and project management experience

The first interview will be a Teams conversation with the Head of R&D followed by an on-site interview.
