There is a great need within the clinical, pharmaceutical, food and environmental sectors for rapid identification of bacterial species and our client has developed a scientific instrument that uses mass spectrometry to analyse bacteria samples and identify the correct bacterial species.

Due to an internal promotion and to keep up with growing demand for their instruments, we are recruiting for a Field based Applications Scientist!

Based from home you will be responsible for the demonstration, training and application of the company’s cutting-edge bacterial identification instruments throughout UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have:

Industrial experience in Microbiological testing (e.g. bacterial identification, susceptibility testing, blood culture analysis), ideally from the Clinical/Hospital sector

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to work autonomously and plan your own schedule

You must also be willing to travel extensivelythroughout the UK (Company car provided)

Knowledge of mass spectrometry technology would be extremely beneficial.
