About this job
Our client is a manufacturer of a broad range of laboratory equipment, as well as an exclusive distributor for an array of capital equipment in the UK and Ireland.
Our client is seeking an experienced salesperson, to focus on developing new channel partner relationships, distribution lines and warming up cold accounts across the globe in support of a brand new portfolio that has been developed recently.
The markets being targeted within this role specifically are within Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and African markets;with a focus on selling into the biotechnology, pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical and food sectors.
Naturally, this is a challenging position that requires the ability to outline commercial strategies and execute these strategies independently. To succeed in this position, you must be confident working without support and comfortable with extensive global travel.
Due to the vast global outreach of this position, an understanding of non-UK scientific product sales ishighly desirable.
To qualify for this position you will need:
- 5+ years experience selling laboratory capital equipment to a pharma/biopharma related industry internationally
- Strong commercial acumen
- Freedom to travel internationally
- Ability to identify suitable marketing channels to deliver key products
You will have the opportunity to develop a rolling 6-month business development plan for execution by the support of the Group Sales Director. This includes reviewing, appointing and supporting new distribution partners.
