Our client is an independent chemical/ pharmaceutical manufacturing business based in the North East of England who specialise in providing innovative R&D and commercialisation solutions for their customers. The business prides itself on solid reputation built by its response to complex and challenging projects in R&D, process optimisation, scale-up and GMP manufacture.

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer due to upcoming plans for significant expansion at the manufacturing facility.

As QA officer you will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of site quality & compliance systems involving activities such as review of technical documents e.g. batch documents, analytical data etc, equipment qualification, and investigation quality incidents such as CAPAs & non-conformances.

This business is for you if…

  • A scientific background with a qualification in Chemistry such as BSc/MSc, HND etc.
  • Proven experience working to GMP regulatory systems ideally within API manufacture.
  • A minimum of 3 years working in a Quality orientated position with experience conducting a broad range of QA activities e.g., data reviewal, CAPA/ non-conformance investigations, audit, equipment qualification

If successful, you will join a friendly and approachable team who provide a supportive working environment and provide regular feedback throughout your career journey. The salary for the role is between £30,000 - £35,000/ annum and the working hours 37.5hrs/ week.

The interview process is likely to be two stages, an initial video call followed by an onsite visit and tour of the facilities.
