As world leaders in antibody drug discovery and development, our client offers a unique opportunity to use cutting edge technologies to help shape the delivery of the next-generation antibody therapeutics.
Using your practical laboratory-based experience, you will join the Antibody Discovery team to support improved delivery solutions for gene therapy vectors. You will achieve this by utilising the company’s proprietary single B cell technologies, to discover high quality antibodies, and apply antibody-based engineering techniques.
Key responsibilities:
- Use in vitro assays and in vivo models to validate novel gene therapy vectors
- Present experimental data at cross-functional meetings
- Work collaboratively across departments and project teams to align strategies and delivering expected timelines
- Be proactive in reviewing new technologies in the field to introduce advances in gene therapy engineering and antibody discovery that will impact your project
The ideal candidate will have:
- A PhD in relevant subject with a good understanding of immunology, gene therapy and/or antibody discovery/characterisation
- A strong understanding and practical experience of cell culture and molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR and cloning)
- Experience of developing functional in vitro cell-based screens
- Expertise in antibody discovery technologies (e.g. hybridoma, phage display, B cell culture, flow cytometry)
- Excellent organisation, communication and inter-personal skills to effectively collaborate across departments
