Our client are a specialist pre-clinical Contract Research Organization (CRO) who provide an expert service across the agrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors with the ultimate aim of producing safer chemicals and medicines. They have dedicated labs that use new and interesting screening platforms to help understand mode of action and manage safety risks.

They are seeking a Deputy Facility Manager to support the management of life science laboratories across their organisation. This will involve maintaining an expanding portfolio of equipment, ordering small- and large-scale equipment, and keeping a tight control over compounds critical to GLP operation. In this role you will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders ranging from Scientists to Study Directors and external stakeholders including drug development clients or site engineers.

You will be great for this role if you have:

  • Experience working in a GLP-compliant laboratory (other GxP environments considered)
  • A good understanding of the logistical working of a laboratory including stock management
  • An adaptable attitude with strong communication skills
  • Experience liaising inter-departmentally with teams and/or speaking to clients
