In this diverse and challenging role, you will receive on the job training working in an instrument demonstration lab, developing the role into an Applications Engineer position. Your role will be varied and fast-paced, reacting to business needs, with the primary focus of developing new and existing applications for GC/LC/MS instrumentation and providing technical expertise for hardware related issues. You will build strong relationships with clients, meeting with customers during meetings & sales events and providing input to help develop specified applications and solutions. The role is site based, with occasional travel once developed into the role.

Essential requirements include:

- A degree in Chemistry (or related)

- Strong GC/LC/MS operation & maintenance experience

- A hands on approach and willingness to continue to learn new things

- An ambitious and highly personable attitude

Desirable requirements:

- A natural aptitude for “tinkering” with electronics and instrumentation

- Software/programming knowledge

- Method development and validation skills
