A leader in substance misuse detection & related technology, our client performs the screening and confirmation of workplace drug samples, testing for a wide range of illegal substances. They are looking for an early career scientist to join their team as a Reporting Officer, collating data from the analysis of biological samples and updating LIMS accordingly.

Assisting a small, close-knit team, this is an opportunity to step away from hands-on analysis but remain in a fast-paced laboratory setting, utilising and developing your scientific knowledge and communication skills. You will be responsible for generating reports and liaising with clients to feedback results, as well as communicating effectively with the laboratory, monitoring turnaround times and investigate failings.

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant scientific degree or qualification (Chemistry, Toxicology etc.)
  • 12+ months laboratory experience (toxicology/forensics/environmental desirable)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using LIMS
  • Proficient organisation and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ISO17025 beneficial
