Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic R&D team with a leading scientific instrumentation manufacturer, working on sophisticated electronics systems and subsystems throughout the full product life cycle.

Our client is looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer with skills in both analogue and digital design. You will be responsible for producing the specifications of new designs, including schematics, PCB layouts and PLD/FPGA configurations. You will need to be comfortable working in a team environment, and will be required to liaise with suppliers, Fitters and Test Engineers. You should be comfortable building, evaluating and testing prototypes, and working to the appropriate standards (ISO61010, ISO13485, 21CFR820).

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

BSc/BEng degree in Electronics (or equivalent)

Demonstrable experience in the development of scientific instrumentation or medical devices to FDA

Experience designing both digital and analogue electronics, preferably including designing embedded FPGA control and acquisition systems

Experience in design for volume manufacture

Schematic Capture and PCB Design – Cadstar is preferred

HV design knowledge is advantageous

C firmware design is advantageous – Xillinx MicroBlaze is preferred
