Brand new opportunity for an experienced medicinal chemist to join an integrated drug discovery provider at an exciting time of expansion. This position is pivotal for the continued growth of the company within the pharmaceutical development sector.

You will manage multi-disciplinary drug discovery projects involving synthetic chemistry, computational chemistry and DMPK team members and deliver expert technical advice to lead projects to completion. The drug development projects are varied and cover numerous chemistry scaffolds and therapeutic disease areas. In addition to this you will also be responsible for the line management of a small team of junior scientists.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• PhD Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
• Strong synthetic organic chemistry background and experience in industry
• Ability to manage and deliver medicinal chemistry projects
• Excellent communication skills – an ability to collaborate with DMPK, computational chemistry and other relevant disciplines with drug development
