Anti-infectives have revolutionised healthcare and are now critical in curing and helping to prevent many kinds of infection. Our client are an industry leading drug discovery and development organisation specialising in novel therapeutics of all modalities. They have a state of the art facility focused on the bespoke therapies and vaccines aiming to prevent life threatening infections propagated by bacteria, fungi and viruses.

As a Senior Scientist you will be responsible for designing and delivering pre-clinical studies for the support of a range of integrated drug discovery projects. You will collaborate with other internal departments including in silico, in vivo and in vitro to ensure efficient identification and optimisation of drug candidates. You will also engage with clients to set project scope, timelines and presenting study data.

Experience:

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline + 2/3 years post doc/industry experience
• Experience working with viruses, bacteria or fungi in a CL2 laboratory is essential
• Experience in the infectious disease therapeutic area, including experience determining PK/PD relationships of anti-infective drugs
• Enthusiastic and strong communication skills
