Ultra-low temperature freezers and cryogenic systems are essential for safety and reliability in the scientific industry, protecting the samples, users and environment.

Our client manufactures these products, and this position has arisen due to the expansion and relocation of the company’s R+D site to Edinburgh.

The New Product Introduction Engineer will deliver refrigeration products to production, ensuring the documentation, procedures, and training are in place to support a smooth rollout. They will work to streamline the transition from engineering desk to production floor, working with teams across Europe.

The role will involve:

  • Ensuring bill of material, engineering drawings and work instructions are accurate and update in the ERP system
  • Develop and execute plans to mitigate production risks, including managing unproven suppliers, processes and tooling, single-source components and gaps in training.
  • Act of principal liaison between the R+D site in Scotland and production team in Romania (Romanian language would be a plus)

An ideal candidate will have:

  • University degree in Engineering
  • 1-3 years in Production Engineering
  • Experience with series production of assemblies – sheet metal, machined parts, wiring, PCBAs
  • Experience in the refrigeration industry would be a plus

This role will also involve travel across to Europe to visit production sites.
