Account Manager – Laboratory Products

Exciting opportunity for either a scientist seeking a different career path or a junior scientific sales person seeking their next move!

In this role you will be responsible for selling a variety of laboratory equipment and associated ancillary products; such as biological safety cabinets, centrifuges, fridges, pipettes, vials, glassware, tubes and filters etc – primarily into the Biotech sector.

The day-to-day focus will be liaising with lab managers, procurement and general decision makers, identifying and understanding their workflows, future plans, any issues they may be having. You will then subsequently identify how you and the company’s vast product portfolio can be of most benefit.

This is a field based role, with expected travel of 3 to 4 days/week (when safe to do so) covering the Oxford, Cambridge and London arc; any of these locations would be an ideal base location.

Candidates must possess:

  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Science degree (Chemistry/Life-science)
  • Either industry laboratory experience (12month min) or previous scientific sales experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously; organising their own work schedule
