A career-defining role for a talented Research & Development Engineer to join an OEM designing the next generation of mass spectrometry instruments.
Based in a well-known research laboratory, you will lead and inspire a team of 10-12 Scientist whilst designing and developing the next generation of mass spectrometry instruments. You will be responsible for ongoing projects alongside line management of staff both onsite and remotely. You will travel internationally and liaise closely with customers to understand their requirements.
You must bring a solid background in people management and mass spectrometry, understanding customer requirements within this competitive market. You will hold a PhD in either engineering, physics, chemistry, biochemistry or similar, as well as instrument design experience - the ability to work experimentally is essential. Proven experience in delivering a competitive instrument within a reasonable time scale and budget is key.
