Are you an early career Software Engineer or recent Computer Science graduate? Do you have an interest in real-world hardware?

Our client is a growing and innovative scientific instrument manufacturer based in Cheshire. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Software Engineer to join their development team. Coding mainly in C# and .NET, you will play a key role in the development of brand-new software systems for novel scientific instrumentation.

To be suitable for this position you will be interested in using programming to control hardware, you must be motivated and have the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

Full training will be provided but core attributes include:

  • MS Visual Studio
  • ASPX/ASP.NET technologies
  • SQL (preferably MS SQL Server)
  • C#
  • .NET
  • Reasonable grasp of Visual Basic
  • Understanding of network principles (user accounts, privileges etc.)
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices, principles and approaches.
