Exciting opportunity to join a renowned global organisation as an Account Manager specialising in the sale of Chromatography (U/HPLC & GC) and Mass Spectrometry products – capex and cons.

Based on the South Coast or the South West of England – this role is offered as an 18 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). A permanent role with our client is a real possibility – should you perform well and attain/exceed sales targets!

Your time will predominantly focus on analytical chemistry research focused companies & institutions across pharma/biotechs & academia.

The role covers the entire sales process from identifying the customer’s needs, producing quotes, handling technical and product related questions to securing the sale & after sales follow-up.Also you will be expected to identify new leads, attend system demonstrations and industry specific conferences.

The ultimate aim is to hit & surpass the territory revenue target, through the sale of high-value instrument sales (LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS etc) and related consumables & smaller benchtop equipment related to; HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS and ICP.

This role will suit someone who has a good knowledge of LC-MS and looking to transition into a commercial scientific role (Sales/business development, account manager etc) or has previous scientific sales experience, looking for a new challenge & career progression.

Candidates must have a scientific degree –Chemistry or similar along with excellent communication and time management skills.
