Excellent opportunity for a PhD qualified Biologist to join a world-class biopharmaceutical research laboratory!
In this laboratory-based position, you will be leading an innovative project, focusing on the engineering of therapeutic antibodies to modulate Fc-mediated biology. You will design and produce engineered antibodies and assess their functionality in vitro and in vivo.
As an integral member of the team, you will call upon your extensive experience in antibody engineering and molecular biology techniques to contribute ideas/knowledge and technical expertise to the project. You will explore cutting edge antibody engineering concepts, troubleshoot technical issues and generate data and reports for patent applications. You will also share your findings in group meetings and presentations, as well as preparing manuscripts for future publication.
- PhD with experience of antibody engineering, strong knowledge of antibodies (structures, isotype differences) and Fc mediated biology
- Broad experience of molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR, DNA preparations and sequence analysis)
- Proficiency in recombinant protein production techniques (mammalian cell culture, chromatography purification systems and associated analytics)
- Motivated and driven, with excellent communication skills
