We have an exciting new role for an experienced or aspiring Data Scientist to join an expanding and innovative company in Aberdeen working within the Oil & Gas industry!
Working as part of a friendly team of Chemometric Modelling Engineers, you will actively support the development and maintenance of the company’s software solutions to provide customer data for shared oil pipelines. You will be involved in the design, development and delivery of novel solutions and functionalities across multiple software platforms. You will also assess, analyse and implement statistical methods and chemometric models and provide technical assistance in the preparation of bids and current projects.
To be considered for this challenging new role, the ideal candidate will have:
- HNC, HND or a degree in Chemical Engineering/Maths/Science related subject
- Experience with data sets and databases
- Experience with scientific statistical modelling (PowerBI, R, Python, MatLab)
- Excellent communication skills, attention to details and ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years industrial experience in a technical role but our client is also considering candidates with limited experience/graduates so apply now to VRS to find out more about this exciting opportunity!
