We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically minded candidate to join the analytical chemistry team of a regulated bioanalytical laboratory!
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting scientific equipment within the Cambridge site, in particular HPLC and GC-MS. You will judge whether instrument breakdowns can be fixed in-house by yourself or with the help of a field service engineer. Planning and execution of preventative maintenance will also be required to minimise instrument downtime.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience using GC-MS & HPLC (but full training will be provided)
- A talent for diagnosing instrument faults
- A passion for fixing/repairing instruments etc
- Excellent IT skills
This role would be ideal for a Field Service Engineer looking to reduce their time on the road, or a hands-on Scientist who is enjoys troubleshooting and maintaining instruments. The company offers excellent benefits, realistic career progression and an outstanding working environment.
