Do you have 12 months+ experience analysing proteins by analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC)? Are you confident running the instrument and performing associated data analysis? Are you a team player, keen to expand your analytical experience and expertise? Then this could be the role for you!

Using your experience of AUC gained from education, employment or a PhD, you will analyse protein-based therapeutics using methods including Sedfit and Ultrascan. You will be responsible for assay and instrument troubleshooting, data analysis, reporting & presentation and assisting other team members as required. You will be part of a dynamic team specialising in protein characterisation via a range of techniques including NMR, FTIR, CD, HPLC and mass spec.

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • 1-5 years’ experience characterising proteins by AUC
  • A BSc, MSc or PhD in a Biological Science
  • An analytical mindset and excellent knowledge of protein chemistry and associated analysis techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong team working abilities
  • Experience of NMR analysis of proteins would be a significant advantage but is not essential
