Exciting opportunity for an accomplished analytical chemist to join a renowned international research laboratory in a challenging and diverse role!
This is a unique opportunity to join a world leader in bespoke analytical services. Primarily lab-based, you will be undertaking small and large molecule quantitative and qualitative analyses, primarily by LC-MS (including QQQ and Orbitrap). You will identify rare compounds and critically interpret data, working with a high level of autonomy, coordinating analytical projects from initial plan through to final report.You will play a key role in developing novel assays to further enhance the contract service repertoire.
Primary responsibilities include:
Developing and validating novel methods and analysing samples by LC-MS (GC-MS and ICP will also occasionally be employed)
Running and basic maintenance of instrumentation
Writing project plans and reports on a regular basis and scientific papers as appropriate
Presenting of results
At least 3 years hands-on experience with LC-MS is essential, GC-MS experience desirable
Experience developing novel analytical methods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and inquisitive nature
